The Loveland Girls

I had a wonderful session with the Loveland girls this last weekend. This was my second session with little Kelaney. My previous session was with her at 2 weeks old. It is amazing to see how much she has changed in 4 months. Her sister has become such a big helper for her parents and is a very proud big sister. Kelaney was such a good sport and was very patient until the very end.

The Loveland’s are University of Tennessee football fans and are bringing their daughters up in the fine tradition of cheering on the Volunteers. So the first series of photos are of them in their UT gear. Next they wore their “Little Sister” and “Big Sister” shirts. They were so cute together. Then Kelaney wore a dress that was her big sister’s when she was little. At this point Kelaney was getting frustrated with the photography session and we only took a few more photos.

It is such a joy to experience kids growing up and the changes they go through. I love that I can be a part of the process of documenting the growth of children.

Saving Little Hearts Charity Event

I had the wonderful opportunity this past week to participate in the Saving Little Hearts Charity Event at Club LeConte on Thursday night. I was one of the paparazzi for the evening, photographing everyone as they came down the red carpet. I had a wonderful time, as I always do when I have my camera, and I hope the attendees enjoyed themselves as well. If you haven’t heard of Saving Little Hearts, their mission statement says it best,

“Saving Little Hearts is dedicated to helping children with congenital heart defects and their families by providing emotional assistance and educational information primarily through the distribution of Care Packages.”

Bride & Groom at the Cove [Kortney Jarman - Knoxville Portrait Photographer]

I had the wonderful opportunity to tag along with 3 great photographers a few sundays ago and photograph a couple in the beautiful Cades Cove. I have been to Cades Cove many times, but I take it for granted. It took going with a couple of Australian photographers to open my eyes and see the beauty of the area that I am blessed to live in. We had a blast shooting this wonderful Bride and Groom. Seeing the other photographers work made me realize how much more I need to learn about the small details of lighting and posing. But I have never said that I have learned everything I wanted to know about photography.
