I wanted to share one of my goals for 2009 with you. My goal is to blog on a weekly basis. To achieve this, I am going to share my life with you. I want to give everyone an chance to get to know me and my family.
What photography means to me and how I got started.
I started taking pictures in 2001 with an Olympus point and shoot camera. This was a way for me to capture the world around me and was just for fun. The more pictures I took the more fun I had and I was bitten by the photography bug.
I started reading as many books as I could get my hands on and stalking photo blogs. I really loved photography, but I really didn’t do much more with it for many years. In 2005, I bought my first DSLR. I started off with the Canon Digital Rebel and from that point on I was hooked. I started taking classes and shooting everything and everyone I knew. My passion for photography has continued to grow.
With the birth of my daughter in June of 2008, I realized the need to capture genuine photographs of my family. I believe that posed photos have their place, but I prefer the photographs a family being themselves. They result in real photographs that you want to hang on your walls and display for years to come. So that is why I started Jarman Photography.
I love photography and hope that I can share that love with you and your family.
Let me know what photo needs I can help you with.
